Halloween 2008

Halloween was so much fun! The kids got WAY too much candy and the weather was great for Trick-or-Treating. Jack was a Storm Trooper, Cade was a Zombie Skater Punk and Ashton was a rag doll. Here are a few pics ~

Oli

So... what is wrong with this picture???

Welcome to Pack 374!

Cade is officially a Webelos! This is a picture of him going to his first Cub Scout meeting. He is so cute and will be a wilderness and survival expert in no time. :)

Meet Oli

Introducing the newest member of our family ~ Oli (pronounced Ollie). Oli is a 9 week old lab/shepherd mix that we rescued from the Ft Worth Animal Shelter. So far the cats are behaving themselves, but Oli hasn't really "pressed his luck" much.

Bathtime with Jack

Now, what's more fun than shampoo mohawks? Isn't it a "guy" requirement?

Bobo's White Trash Pool Party ~ Party of 1

On a recent weekend, Bo filled up the inflatable pool under the trees in the front for Jack & Cade to splash around in. Well, of course.... Jack wanted Daddy to swim too, which he did. Once he got in the pool he was quite comfy and refreshed. I go in to do some stuff around the house and here's what I come out front to... mind you, the boys have long since gone inside.

Hey, he enjoyed himself for quite awhile out ther watching the Ranger game (and THANK GOD the shrubs concealed at least one side!) :))

New Patio - Step 1

Our projects for the house this summer are: 1. New Extended Flagstone Patio 2. New Wood Privacy Fence
Last weekend, Bo started on the patio. In order to have it the level we want, he had to take out the existing concrete patio. After starting with the sledgehammer, he quickly realized that was not the route to take & after conferring with our patio engineer (aka Derek), went to Lowe's and rented the jackhammer. It took him 7 hours to tear up 1/2 the patio. The remaining half shouldnt take nearly as long (after the trial & error to get the first 1/2 up).

Here's Bo in action:

A Stroll Down Memory Lane

While uploading some recent photos, I started digging around in old photo files... they quickly reminded me how fast time really does go by and how each day must be cherished. Here are a few photos that made me smile....

Ok - this one started it all. Bo & I met at a wedding 6 years ago, but this photo taken at Sloan's 30th Bday party was the first time we hung out. We wouldn't start dating for a couple of months. The guy right next to us, is our very own Reverend - Jeff. He married us under our tree 2 short years after this was taken.

Here are the kids in 2005 - only 3 years ago!

Ashton dressed Jack up in her pink robe and he decided to vacuum w/the lawnmower.

When Jack was a baby he would sit on his Daddy's lap all the time while they played the guitar. When he was teething he would actually chew on the neck of the guitar. It still has his teeth marks on it.

Fun Times!

See why they made me smile??

It's been FOREVER!

It's been quite some time since I added any new photos or info. I'll try to catch up.

The last couple of weekends, the kids spent time with their Grandparents; Nana & Papa Bob and Grammy and Gramps Mike. They hung out at Nana's and shopped & swam and went camping at the lake with their cousins (Tanner & Maddie) with Grammy. They had so much fun spending quality time with their grandparents. Meanwhile, we ate dinner out (including a Wayne Newton spotting at Riscky's Barbecue in FW), had an exciting time at Fort Worth Zoo Beastro with the best friends in the world (and drank entirely too much vodka), FINALLY got our bed from Rooms to Go (their delivery is AWFUL!), and skipped over all sorts of chores which we are now trying to catch up on, (Hey, 2 kid free weekends IN A ROW, what'd you expect?) We were so happy to have the kids home! (seriously, we're not 21 anymore).

Here are some photos from hanging at the pool at Nana & Papa Bob's:

Here are some photos from camping at the lake with Grammy & Gramps (ps: Jack was the only one to catch a fish!!! He just got spooked when it wiggled):
